Thoughts, Prayers, and One Talk Testimonials!

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of the people whose lives were disrupted by Harvey and Irma.


While many people watched Hurricane Irma from afar, SOVA’s Florida office was in the midst of it. Thankfully some of our employees (and their dog!) packed up a van and headed north to the safety of our Pennsylvania offices. With their One Talk phones in tow, they didn’t miss a business opportunity! Left Florida on Friday…up and running on Monday. No customer or support interruptions. How’s that for staying ahead of a storm!

New enhancements to SOVA's One Talk Ordering Site

Exciting News! Our website (www.sovainc.net) was recently updated.

The new enhancements are available now when you click on the "Order Now" portion. Once there, you will find the following:

1. Four individual tabs at the top, which are located underneath "Introducing Verizon One Talk", they are labeled: One Talk Phones, Routers, Accessories, & Installation
2. The 1st Tab features all the phones
3. The 2nd Tab features Accelerated Routers right now but will include our full portfolio as soon as we are able to roll it out
4. The 3rd Tab features the wall mount brackets for both the T41 & T46G and will expand to more accessories in the coming months
5. The 4th Tab features an easy way for the customers to purchase installation.

Verizon One Talk Best Practice - Do Not Use Temporary Numbers

An important reminder from SOVA and Verizon Wireless Channel Management:


When activating the customer profile, please start with the desk phones first. Activate new numbers, followed by any numbers that are being ported. Do not use temporary numbers in place of a ported number, allow those to stand as they are. Mobile Clients are added last within this scenario.

Verizon One Talk Best Practice - Cut through the Email Clutter!

We recently met with some great VZW Sales Reps who had the follow suggestion for our team, and we really think this is a Best Practice that works both ways: 

  • Include the Customer Name and Lead ID # in the subject line of all email communications.

Since our mutual One Talk business is growing, this really helps everyone cut through the email clutter!

Verizon One Talk Best Practices - 2 Tips from SOVA

Time for some One Talk Best Practices tips from SOVA, your Verizon One Talk Partner!

TIP #1

Issue: It can be difficult for the SOVA Agent to get in touch with your customer after getting the One Talk lead through PRM.

Best Practice: Send an introductory email to your customer with the SOVA Agent copied.  This quick introduction really helps initiate communication between your customer and the SOVA Agent. (If you don’t know the SOVA Agent, they will reach out to you with their contact information.)


TIP #2

Issue: Poorly coordinated number porting can cause a customer to go out of service!

Best Practice: To ensure smooth installations and porting we recommend a two-step process:
  1. Activate NEW numbers as soon as you get the MAC IDs and advise your SOVA sales rep when you have done so.   
  2. For numbers requiring porting, DO NOT ACTIVATE the associated devices until your SOVA team has confirmed to you that all of the necessary post-sale steps have been completed.
